Sudan

Sudan is living through a humanitarian catastrophe — not just a “conflict,” but a daily fight to survive. Families have been forced to flee with nothing, hospitals and supply routes have been damaged or cut off, and entire communities are struggling to find food, clean water, and basic medical care. In many areas, people aren’t just scared — they’re running out of options.

Sudan is under attack because of a war that erupted in April 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), after a power struggle over control of the country and the military’s future. Fighting spread into major cities and regions, and some areas have become trapped behind front lines where aid can’t safely reach people. Civilians are caught in the middle — especially because the violence is widespread, displacement is massive, and many people have nowhere safe left to go.
